A musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound scan is a non-invasive imaging test that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and soft tissues. It helps identify tears, inflammation, fluid collections, bursitis, tendonitis and nerve entrapments, and can guide injections or interventions. The scan is quick, safe, radiation-free and often performed dynamically to assess structures during movement, aiding accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
